What is Facesense?
Facesense is an intuitive, retrofit face, state-of-the-art face recognition video analytics application meant for time and attendance management for micro, small, medium and large companies and industries, schools, colleges and training centers. Simple, easy-to-use yet powerful enough to optimize your attendance system, increasing efficiency and streamline process with autonomous system working on our AI platform Opticsense – making sense of seeing. Touchless, non-invasive, its quick unlike the biometric and fool-proof unlike the proxy cards, ensuring your employees or students are recognised and attendance punched accurately every time.
How does it work?
- You've an existing IP cameras or you'll buy IP cameras.
- You'll purchase Facesense subscription along with Facesense Edge Controller.
- You'll connect Facesense Edge Controller to your existing network in your premises, along with your display/monitor.
- You'll login into the Facesense Edge Controller using the OTP sent to your email-id while purchasing Facesense.
- You'll add the entry & exit cameras in the Facesense Lite application in the Facesense Edge Controller which is preloaded while shipped to you.
- You can register your employees in the Facesense Lite application in the Facesense Edge Controller.
- With this your cameras are synced to Facesense.
- Using the Login credentials given in your email, you will login to Facesense Central Command Center (F3C) in the cloud and start using the product.
Operational Process?
Facesense replicates the fantastic connection between the human eye and the brain with the eye capturing the video we see around, transporting it to the brain, and the video perfectly decoded with the data extracted from the video for our understanding and response system. Facesense works on our machine learning platform adhering to highest quality standards in face recognition specifically designed and built for attendance management which requires accurate accuracy in recognizing your employee for attendance punch. For the right accuracy requires the perfect blend of our technology and your adherence to operational process guidelines.
- Install the camera on the wall at your entry and exit. The camera must not be more than 6ft from the ground up
- The camera must be in the same network as your desktop you install Facesense Lite application is installed
- Walk through the visible coverage area of the camera
- See the camera for less than a second, blink and move on
- Your attendance is punched, HR will get the notification with the time stamp and your picture
- You get notified with your attendance punch with the time stamp and your picture.

1. Is Facesense one time purchase or subscription type?
It is subscription model i.e., you have to make annual payment calculated per employee/year.

2. How many cameras can a single FEC handle?
It can handle up to 2 cameras at a time.
3. Is internet mandatory to use Facesense?
Yes, it is (60-100Mbps) broadband internet to connect to the F3C on cloud is required.
4. What type of camera is compatible for using Facesense?
It must be network/IP cameras, minimum 5MP, IR-30 mtrs.
5. What is the failover mechanism if Internet fails at my premises?
During internet failover, data accumulation happens at the Facesense Edge Controller. When
internet resumes, it replicates automatically in F3C cloud.
6. Can multiple people i.e., 10 to 20 people be recognised accurately at one shot?
During internet failover, data accumulation happens at the edge i.e., your camera or desktop. When
internet resumes, it replicates automatically in your central console.
7. What if I change the camera at a later date? How do I use this new camera to Facesense application?
Facesense Lite application has the features to add entry and exit cameras as per your need. When
you change the camera, simply add the new camera in the Facesense Lite application in FEC.
8. Can I access F3C on cloud to track employee attendance and its reports from anywhere, anytime?
Yes, the authorised personnel in your company can access this from anywhere, anytime as this
works on the cloud.
9. Can I use Facesense at my premises at different locations and monitor the employee attendance and its reports from a single location?
Yes, as long as you have multi-license model you can connect different branches at different
locations on our unified F3C platform.
10. Can Facesense recognise people wearing masks?
Yes, it can recognise if you wear mask as per the standards mentioned. Check the standards here. However this is an additional feature which is not part of the standard specifications of product.
11. Can Facesense work in pitch dark scenario?
No, there must be enough lighting to recognise the face.
12. Will my attendance be captured if I don't see the camera?
No. You'll have to see the camera for a second for accurate attendance to be captured.
13. What are the stipulations for installing the camera for accurate recognition of face in Facesense?
- Camera must be installed at 6ft height on the wall.
- The distance for recognition is 2ft to 4ft from the camera.
- There must be good lighting in the location for clear face capture.
- Camera must not be installed in sunlight falling directly on the camera lens.
14. What is FEC90/93?
This is the edge device connecting your IP cameras within your premises. This is preloaded with Linux and Facesense application.
15. What is the role of FEC90/93 ?
This connects to your IP-cameras, capturing the face recognition stream from your cameras.
This is internally connected to Facesense cloud repository giving you the access to Attendance reports,
Dashboard and Live tracker. This is also your failover system wherein the attendance is captured
when Internet fails in your premises.
